Services – Public Sector

Project Services are offered to Public Sector Organisations (PSOs) that afford flexibility in managing projects whilst not adding to the PSO headcount. The Principal is a PRINCE2 registered practitioner.

Services have been provided to PSOs including Local Authorities, various NHS bodies incl. Trusts and PCTs in England and a Water Authority. The duration of assignments undertaken has varied from several days to c9months, depending on volume and complexity. Projects been undertaken in Scotland, England, and Wales.

NHS work has included assisting one NHS body in completing the financial and economic evaluation work for 2 distinct Private Finance Initiative (PFI) projects, and providing similar input in the required post implementation review for the earlier project. Other work has featured the preparation of business cases, financial analyses, commissioning arrangements for Non-Acute services (England) and varied research for compilation of reports to management.

Local Government work has included business development of Central Support Services and development of recharging systems to front line services; tender documents preparation including appraisals; providing the Finance lead for a Housing Stock transfer; and co-ordinating the development of a council-wide Base Budget Review.
